Adopt-a-Room Program at Ronald McDonald House BC you can provide the most caring and practical support to families during this incredibly stressful time. Your support allows Ronald McDonald House BC to give a sick child the one thing they really need - their family.

Easing the financial burden…….

Parents of seriously ill children are often forced to incur extraordinary costs during a time when they desperately need comfort and support. The realities of coping with a seriously ill child are nothing short of overwhelming. By providing a ‘home away from home”, Ronald McDonald House BC eases a financial burden young families would otherwise have to bear. For many of our families at least one parent is forced to take a leave of absence from their place of employment or quit their job altogether. At a time of crisis when mortgages, car payments and other expenses are still ongoing back home, our Adopt-a-Room partners reduce the incredible stress and anxiety our families face.

The Adopt-A-Room program ensures that the rooms at Ronald McDonald House BC are beautifully kept and maintained for out-of-town families who need a comfortable place to stay while in Vancouver seeking medical treatment for their sick children. Your sponsorship for three or five years will help cover the costs associated with maintenance and operation of your room, ensuring it is always available for the families that stay with us each year. You are supporting up to 400 families over a five year period, making sure their room will always have necessities like linens and repairs. Your room will require updating at times and your support will help that happen.
