Teams of two were challenged to raise funds for the House, and then complete a series of fun challenges in the heart of downtown Vancouver. After the race, teams and volunteers enjoyed a barbecue for family and friends to celebrate their success and efforts benefiting seriously ill children.
This popular tournament sold out again in 2011! Participants enjoyed a memorable day of golf at Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club, and learned more about the House at a celebratory banquet and auction with all proceeds benefiting children and families at RMHBC.

A beautiful hot sunny day greeted our golfers as they took part in our 18th Annual Vancouver Island Golf Tournament presented by RLC Enterprize Ltd. at the Westin Bear Mountain Golf & Resort & Spa located near Victoria, B.C. to help raise money to support Ronald McDonald House BC.
The awards banquet with scrumptious buffet was enjoyed by our golfers and dinner guests. The highlight of the evening was listening to our guest speakers Matthew & Angie Williams share their experience at Ronald McDonald House BC. Matthew bravely shared the emotional journey a preteen undergoes while his mother Angie shared a parents view when dealing with a serious illness while away from home, family, and friends and the role Ronald McDonald House BC filled during this time as their home-away-from-home. Their moving speeches emphasized how families from Vancouver Island benefit from Ronald McDonald House BC and the need to host events like this golf tournament to raise much needed funds to continue support the many families from Vancouver Island who call the Ronald McDonald House BC home for a period in their lives.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers who make our Vancouver Island Golf Tournament such a success
